Long before chocolate became a modern indulgence, cacao was revered as a sacred gift from the earth. For thousands of years, ancient Mesoamerican cultures including the Maya and Aztec honored cacao as a plant medicine, using it in ceremonial rituals to open the heart, deepen spiritual connection, and invite healing.
The cacao ceremony as we know it today was born from a much more humble and beautiful beginning. Keith Wilson, who became lovingly known as the Chocolate Shaman, began inviting people to sit on his porch in Guatemala, drink cacao, and share in his wisdom. From those simple, heartfelt gatherings, the cacao ceremony was born and has since spread its roots across the world.
I am honored to use Keith's Cacao exclusively in all of my ceremonies, carrying forward the spirit of connection and intention that he planted so many years ago.

Cacao has been called "the food of the gods" and for good reason. Indigenous traditions across Central and South America held cacao as a bridge between the physical and spiritual worlds. It was offered in ritual, used in sacred rites of passage, and consumed to awaken inner wisdom and clarity. The cacao used in ceremony is not the sugary treat we know today. It is pure, ceremonial grade cacao, minimally processed and full of the plant's natural healing properties.
Every cacao ceremony I offer is a unique, themed experience crafted with intention and care to meet the energy of the moment. Whether we are honoring a seasonal shift, exploring a theme of healing, or stepping into a new chapter, each gathering has its own heartbeat.
After settling in and setting a personal intention, you will be guided through the preparation and drinking of a warm cacao elixir, a moment in itself to slow down and arrive fully. From there, the ceremony unfolds around its theme, weaving together a blend of activities that may include:
Past ceremonies have included experiences like Manifestation in Bloom, where participants wrote their intentions, placed them in soil, and planted a zinnia seed on top as a living symbol of what they were calling in.
No two ceremonies are alike. Each one is an invitation to connect with yourself, with the season, and with something greater. All you need to bring is an open heart.

Cacao is a remarkably heart centered plant. On a physical level, it contains theobromine, a gentle and natural stimulant that increases blood flow and creates a soft, sustained sense of warmth and energy.
Emotionally, cacao is known to gently soften the walls we build around our hearts, making space for clarity, creativity, and compassion. Spiritually, many who sit with cacao describe a deepened sense of presence, connection, and inner knowing.
Some of the most commonly shared experiences include:
Cacao ceremonies are open to anyone who feels called. Whether you are new to spiritual practice or a seasoned seeker, cacao meets you exactly where you are. All that is required is a willingness to slow down, turn inward, and listen.
Please note that there are contraindications associated with ceremonial cacao. Before attending, kindly review the Terms & Conditions for important health and safety information to ensure that a cacao ceremony is the right fit for you.
